Ashwagandha Moon Milk Recipe
Posted March 8, 2022 by admin in Recipes, Trending 1 0

These days we live life in the fast lane. And it is not just chores, work, and home that we juggle. Most of us are sleep deprived as a result. We have overburdened ourselves with so much to do daily that we often ignore our meals. This means we invariably binge on unhealthy foods that are easy and quick to make. As a result, our health and fitness take a hit. So, it is very important to have a hold on your habits, since habits often become a lifestyle. You can begin by tweaking your diet and food choices. Like, for instance, you can add a pinch of nutrition to your regular meals. It is very easy to make minuscule changes every day that will add up and make you feel and look super healthy!

Ashwagandha Moon Milk Recipe

Okay, let’s keep it straight. Instead of having a glass of plain milk before going to bed, you can have natural herbs such as ashwagandha and turmeric added to it. This may not only enhance the taste but may also promote good health. This simple ‘trick’ may be just what you need for a better and more restful sleep (1). Today we are going to share the recipe of Ashwagandha Moon Milk. This milk is full of healthy nutrients and herbs that promote overall health and wellness (4).

Try this tonight!

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup whole milk
(you can substitute unsweetened nut milk such as hemp, cashew or almond)
  2. ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  3. ½ tsp ground turmeric
  4. ¼ tsp ground ashwagandha
  5. 2 pinches ground cardamom
  6. A pinch ground nutmeg
  7. A pinch freshly ground black pepper
  8. 1 tsp ghee
  9. 1 tsp raw honey

Method

  1. In a small pan, simmer the milk over medium-low heat.
  2. Vigorously whisk turmeric, cinnamon, ashwagandha, ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg into the milk, so as to avoid any lumps and clumps.  Season with black pepper.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add coconut oil.
  4. Cook until warm or for about 5-10 minutes. Remember, the longer you cook, the stronger the potency of this beverage.
  5. Once it is done, remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
  6. Mix the honey. Don’t cook it because you may kill the natural goodness of honey.
  7. Drink warm.

See how easy it is to make! In case you are unable to find ashwagandha easily or are hard-pressed for time to make this Ashwagandha Moon Milk, you can always opt to have one of our SuperFood supplements that contain Ashwagandha and quite possibly make a world of difference to your health and wellness.
