Nature is not a place to visit, it is home. While we may be building penthouses and skyscrapers to live in, we are blocking nature out. We may have set up cables and webs to connect with each other, but we have lost contact with where we originated from. Extensive research has proven that connecting directly (literally!) with earth by walking barefoot on sand, grass, rock or water may help reduce chronic pain and other health issues that people are facing today. This coined the term ‘earthing’. Essentially, earthing is about connecting the body directly with earth (1).

Escape the prison of four walls! You were not born for that desk or that couch! Your body, mind, and soul need a regular dose of nature.  And it could be a potent medicine for not just relief from pain, but good health in general.

Just that simple? Oh yes, it is quite simple to be happy! If only you choose simplicity. But how does earthing help?  The good thing to imagine in this scenario is to imagine yourself as electrifying. No, really! Considering we are exposed to so much of it with our army of devices and gadgets (purportedly to make life easier). When we connect with earth barefoot, our body balances and neutralizes the excess of electrons which we accumulate in our daily lives because of radios, personal devices, microwaves, and so on (2).
